You have to check off in if you want those work centers to allow overloading
or not. For us, we schedule with most of our work centers set-up to
schedule finitely, but then a couple that we simply do not have resources
for so we allow it to get overloaded so we can figure out what we need to
subcontract to meet commitments. I love this feature. This is maintained
in the WC master 'finite capacity' button. Sounds like you would want to
check all yours off.

Also, one might ask, if the schedule is run as Finite, then why does
anything show up on the Overload Informer? If it truly scheduled
finitely, there wouldn't be anything overloaded, correct?

I show most machines as overloaded, seems odd.

Anyone?

I have run the Global Finite Schedule and I noticed something
interesting.



There are 4 jobs scheduled to run at the same time tomorrow, yet there
are only 2 machines in the workcenter.



How can that be? I forward schedule everything, and all WCs are set to
Finite Schedule.



Can anyone shed a light?
