I assumed you had created a part in Vantage with the same part
number. To
keep the trail going, I might change the part number on the job to
the new
Vantage part number and document this in the comments on the
material in the
job. Then do a negative issue and issue to the new job.

Edward I was thinking of going into the job and change the
non-existing part
number to the new part number and then doing the negative issue. I
just
wasn't sure if that was the way to go.

Fredy,
Have you tried to do a "negative" Issue to Manufacturing and
then
issue it
to the new job?

Edward it is just material on the job not a complete assembly.
It
was
purchased for an R & D job because they weren't sure it was
going to
work so
we didn't bother creating the part in Vantage. Now it works
and they
want to
use it on another job.

It allows you to specify a job and assembly to put it
