When trying to create serial numbers in Serial Number Assignment, the Create Serial Numbers tab is completely empty. We have a serial mask set up for the part already but I’m not sure what could be causing this. Any ideas?
Hi Martin,
It looks like it wants you to manually type in your serial number in the white box then click add. This would look like this if the serialization was setup for alphanumeric instead of serial mask. Each partplant record has the ability to have serial number mask or alphanumeric applied to it, sometimes these can be accidentally out of sync. Are you sure that the partplant record for site you are doing entry in has the mask setup on it?

Yup, that was the culprit, after some digging, found out that the part plant record was set up for alpha numeric just as you said.
