Beginning BPM and ABL

Thank you.  Most of those examples look pretty simple to implement.

Regards.

General question and feedback requested:

Where's the best place to start in creating BPMs and using ABL?  I'm not wishing to learn or grasp heavily the code, but would like to understand BPMs a little better to create methods on the fly if needed.  Or if most companies do not necessarily need BPMs created constantly?  Say like BAQs or Crystal Reports?

We are currently on 8.03 but will be upgrading to 10 in the next few months.  I have a general idea of basic scripting structure with Powershell and Bash and some PERL.

Thanks!

If you are upgrading to 10 I'd wait to get there to learn since BPMs are entirely different there. BPMs are simply a way to change / add to the behavior or business object calls / database writes (via Data Directives). Most companies have a few BPMs in place but its not common place to write new ones every day.
The best place to start is with the Epicor Guides available in EpicWeb
