It’s as good as you want to make it. I love this screen and refuse to go back to the “modern” shell. You’ve got tabs, you’ve got tiles, you’ve got pictures and labels. You can put BAQs and dashboards. It’s nice. But, as others have said, don’t use the stock one. Make your own.
Depends on how your menu is set up. If you have it set to open classic, it’s gonna open classic. Don’t open the Kinetic UI in the client, though. Just… don’t.
If you use the classic UI, it’s not at all different. If you use the browser UI, it becomes a case of “Who moved my cheese.” It’s all there, it just looks different. A lot more “clicky” too. But you’ll get used to it… we all do.
I’ll vouch for this - just got done doing a brand new dashboard*…from the client on our Citrix box…instead of the browser.
*that took like 5 minutes once I figured out what the hell I was doing, because it’s the first one I’ve done from scratch since go live…yay me…Happy Friday
If you go up to at least 2024.1, these things (sans functions) are possible in the browser.
I believe updateable BAQs are 2024.2. It all blends together at some point.
