You can modify the form in Crystal to add the field(s) using the bar
code font, DataWorks Bar 39. You might look at the Receiving Label
(RcvLabel) as an example.

Hi Nancy,
We use bar coding on Job Travelers so that employees can log into job,
via Data Collection (MES).
I modified the Job Traveler by adding a custom bar code that opens the
Start Production screen, enters the job number, enters the operation
number, and then closes the screen.
It works very well for use with only a minor hiccup every so often.
We purchased the Handheld Products IT3800 bar code reader gun from Dell.
We were quoted from an Epicor recommended vendor a price of $340 per gun
but Dell sells the same one for $170!
Thanks,
Joe Rojas

I need a little information from those of you who are doing bar coding
with Vantage.
How???
If I understand this I need the Data Collection module and a bar code
reader. One that plugs into a USB port will work. Then I set the
travelers to print bar codes.
Does this sound right? Anything you have that would help me get started
would be great.
By the way what bar code readers are you using?
Thanks
Nancy
