BAQ's for Standard Reports

This might be a silly question. Are the core reports in Epicor driven by system BAQ’s?

I’m looking in particular at the General Ledger Report.

I’ve been asked to see if I can add Supplier details to the lines that are related to PO’s.

Logically I wanted to see how it’s built in the first place and go from there, but not sure if that’s the best approach.

Nope. Look at the report data definition. I don’t know about that report specifically, but unfortunately a lot of the logic behind the system reports is in code but a lot of them you can at least get an idea from looking at the report data definition and the dataset select statement in the rdl file.

Not straightforward to just copy and manipulate then

Well it can be fairly straightforward. It sounds like you haven’t modified epicor reports before. You should probably watch some of the videos in the learning center and do some of the walk throughs first.

More like not intuitive. A little education goes a long way here.
It’ll make a lot more sense if you can find the videos on it, and some
of the better threads here.

I believe CodaBears has a decent video on it.

Thanks, no not really! I’ve done some slight customisation to SSRS reports, but as the General Ledger is normally exported in excel format by the team, I didn’t think the same would apply!

Thanks, think I’ve found the video, will do some learning
