BAQ Reports in E9

Thanks. I'm not seeing Solution Manager in V8. I found it in E9 but I can't get the help menu to function, so I might be working on a trial and error basis.

We're currently running V8, but we just had our E9 test environment installed today. I haven't had much time to look at it, but at first glance I've noticed that all of the custom BAQ Reports that I have created over the years are now missing. Has anyone else seen this?
We went from V6.1 directly to V9.4 and the BAQ reports were there, but were not converted over and therefore there were no tables or fields in them. They were blank.
We were told by Epicor that we would have to rebuild them.
I'm not sure about upgrading from V8.

I don't recall ever having to rebuild them after going from 8 to 9.

I just did an upgrade from 8.03.305K to 9.05.700, and although the custom reports were all present in Report Styles, many of the Report Data Definitions hadn't come up completely correctly. In some cases (JobTrav and ARForm), the new version default RDD has more tables than the old one, so the customized RDD needed to be reworked. Others (OrderAck) came up just fine.

The "Default" setting in Report Styles did not come over and had to be re-checked in all cases.

Most of the rest of our reports were ODBC so had to be rebuilt to point to the new database.

So much has changed between versions you will have to rebuild all of your reports. We just upgraded from 6.1>>8.0>>9.05.700c and I just went through this same thing. There will be certain things that get pulled through the conversions but most if not all will need to discarded and then rebuilt.

Just out of curiosity, if we start rebuilding the BAQ Reports within the test environment, would the changes carry over once we went live with E9?

Look at Solution Manager (Sys Mgmt -> Utilities). Can copy all BAQs,
dashboard, customizations, reports etc from one database to another.
The day of your go-live export everything from test & import into live.

Don't know, give it a try.

(We went from 6->9, there were enough schema changes we just rebuilt all
reports in 9.05 test).
