BAQ for Employee Hire Dates

It is listed in the supplied help files that you can access from anywhere within the vantage application. No manual, but it is buried in the help file.

I've created a BAQ for Employee Hire Dates and I'm using a Dashboard to
access, but I can only view the results with the Manager account. I
even have a user that's a Payroll Manager and Security Manager, but the
results our null when the query is ran.

In addition to being a Securiy Manager and Payroll Manager, I gave
rights through "Field Security" to the three fields in the table
PREmpMas: Hire, EmpID, and Name. Still nothing.

Any help would be nice.

Thanks,

--SF
To use a BAQ using the payroll tables, the user would also need to be
given access to the Payroll Class in Payroll Class Maintenance. Just be
aware, this gives them full permissions all the payroll tables including
rates, SSN, etc.

I have two companies, and I've created a BAQ to display name and hire
date. After giving access to all Payroll Classes, I can access Company
A's employee names and hire dates, but even though I have access to
all of the Payroll Classes for Company B, I can only access 3 different
payroll classes, instead of the 10 that exists?

Thanks,

Good Morning,

The same thing happened to me. We have 4 companies and in switching to
do payroll, 2 of my classes refused to show up in the payroll group.
Not knowing what else to do, since I'm set up as payroll manager with
access all classes, I logged in again. Surprise! It worked - all of my
classes showed up in my payroll group. So each time I switch companies,
I have to log in again or my access to all classes is altered. Sounds
like a patch is needed here. Give this a try and see if it works.

This is actually documented in the Vantage 8.00.810 help files for PR and specifically mention that adjustments to class data will not show up until "program restart" which ultimately refers to Vantage client app vs PR program. So, this is standard par here.

Work-a-round works great! Thanks! I too have to switch companies,
exit, and start the program again.
