BAQ Dashboard Right-Click Standard Context Menu Missing

Hi all,

I’m a newcomer to Epicor and am currently in process of upgrading from E10 to Kinetic 11.2 and am running into some issues regarding the standard context menu visibility for various fields.

Our E10 BAQ Dashboards had fields, such as Serial Number, where you could right-click the serial number and open with Serial Number Entry/Tracker to open the respective form in a new window. After deploying these dashboards into the Kinetic version, the whole standard context menu is missing – the only option available is to copy the field data.

I don’t know what happened to all of the context menus, but they have been wonky since 11 came out. You could check the Context Menu Maintenance to see if it is still set up. Also check the Extended Properties Maintenance to see if there is still the like fields mapped for the context menu.

Did you double check the “like” field setting in your dashboard to make sure Serial number is still selected there?

Update: I failed to mention some important details, the context menu within the desktop client version of Kinetic works, but not in the browser version.

The Context Menu Maintenance, Extended Properties Maintenance, and the “like” field settings (in the dashboard) mentioned above are all set correctly.

Also, if you need to add a “like” context menu to perhaps a calculated column, this can be done through the Field Attributes Editor

I’m beginning to think that they just have not updated the Kinetic UI to the fullest for this functionality. I have not seen anything official, but I have experienced the same as you with other fields. It might be worth entering a ticket to see if they have an official statement.
