I setup a updatable dashboard using a BAQ and a UD Table for our HR department to record attendance. The problem is I can’t save more than one record at a time. After every new record unless I refresh after every entry only the dashboard the last entry gets saved.
Do you have the UBAQ set to allow multiple row? If you do, take that off, and it will save every time you change a row. I’ve never really seen the change multiple rows work well outside of the BAQ. In a dashboard, one row at a time almost always works best, especially since it saves automatically when you change rows.
I just tried that but no luck.
Did you redeploy the dashboard after you made the change in the baq?
It won’t even let me create 2 records on the BAQ level, it say I can’t have multiple dirty rows.
But one thing I do notice and I’m not sure if this matters but when I do create multiple records is that the SysRevID is 0 and the SysRowID is all zeros.
That’s good, you don’t want the BAQ to allow for multiple dirty rows. Make sure that box is unchecked in the BAQ. Then open up the dashboard and redeploy it, then check on your assembly dashboard and see if it works.
No luck with that either.
After re-deploying a dashboard:
- Close all windows except the main one.
- Clear Client Cache
- Exit E10
- Launch E10
- Clear Client cache
- Launch Dashboard.
FWIW - I always date stamp my dashboards, so I know which “version” I’m looking at.
(instead of time stamps too, I just increment a single letter after the date…)
