Automating capture COS/WIP activity

I would not capture every day. If transactions are not captured, you have
the ability to correct what is being posted to cost of sales, inventory, job
corrections, labor edits, etc. We capture after each months end and after
all corrections have been made.

I unfortunately can not tell you. I'm not sure why our controller asked
for this but I'm only the middle man in this process and am not an
accountant either. I will make sure to see if he is even aware that
this will lock labor from being edited. Thank you.

Mark
Capture COS/WIP should be run when job costs have been caught up. All
material issued to jobs, all salvage out, all labor correct. The
process also calculates the costs of items shipped and updates posted
invoices with those costs. Unchangable, uneditable. It does it for
all shipments not so processed even if they are after the cutoff
date.
Just something else for your controller to think about.
