Automatic Clock out - 9.05.700C

Jose,

You mentioned an overnight process that logs them out - can you share? Or if you have already, I have not seen that post so point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Mike

How are others handling clocking out guys if they forget?  Just wondering other’s processes.

HR curses while fixing the time the next day....

I'm also curious what others are doing that might be more effective. :)

We have an overnight process that clocks everyone out and notifies the appropriate people about it.

How do you account for overtime?  Or is that never an issue?  We can have people scheduled to work extra hours for any reason.

We make the supervisors look at the shop tracker - can look up active resources by department (or start with "Who Is Here" by supervisor).  The supervisor can log them out if they should be - we run multiple shifts so automatically logging out people doesn't work.

Why can't we make hold our employees accountable? Instead of making special rules in the system for them?!

Yes comes from my experience...the blame game...

We fix times manually.   Employee must complete a form in the morning stating he forgot to clock out.   HR stomps and yells…..

I send out an SSRS report each morning to the managers reporting all over-clocks. Managers fix them.

On each employee's six-month review, they receive a grade (number of bad clocks/number of total clocks).

The controller sends me a list of people who have not clocked out.  I then in turn tell him, why do you keep on send this to me, speak to the managers.

So I show the controller the Shop Tracker and WHO IS HERE.  Same thing I showed the managers.

Then it goes to, can EPICOR automatically do this.

ME:  Just don’t pay them.  They will learn quickly. AGH!

It has gotten better.  But I am not going to do anything.  The managers get the ear full now.

We had that at first. I setup an automated email that goes out each morning to all the managers. They are to fix it. Failing to fix it earns wrath from upper management. Wrath is bad.

This in turn encourages the managers to get their employees to clock properly.

With this we have gone from 5 to 6 bad clocks a day out of approximately 80 daily MES users to 1 to 2 a week.

SSRS looks like this. Top section is bad labordtl records, bottom is bad labored records.
