Auto Refresh on Load for Kinetic Dashboards

Is Auto Refresh for dashboards not a thing anymore in Kinetic?
I have several custom dashboards in classic set to Auto Refresh on Load that work as expected popping up the parameter window as soon as the open. After deploying the dashboard as an application and putting that application on a menu, it no longer pops up (or slides out) the parameters window/panel. The parameters only slide out after I click the down arrow to expand the card on the dashboard. I’m sure we can do what we want with a custom layer on top of the dashboard, but I was hoping the Auto Refresh on Load would just work out of the box.
Has anyone else encountered this?

What you experienced is what’s provided out of box. If you want that auto load feature to work you will need to create a layer, click the grid, then check the “Expand at Runtime” box. The expansion of the card is what fires off getting the data.

Dang it, that’s what I was afraid of.
Thank you, Hannah!

Hi!
What about auto-refresh intervals?

@hmwillett

Nope.

wait what? noooo…

I guess ill be hitting up the Epicor Ideas with this one.

@hmwillett

Are auto refresh intervals still not a thing? How do you work around that, or is that not a thing either?

Yes, you can.

Dashboard-timer-set. Set an interval and execute your BAQ event to fill your grid.

Then use sister widget to this called clear to clear it.

:safe_harbor: i havent tested this.

@aarong Do i want to set this as an event on panel card expand? If so, when it clears will the timer just start over? Does “refilling” the grid from the BAQ re-expand the card again so the timer kicks off?
