We have a dashboard, where users can click on the attachment link that will then open the attachment. Due to some changes in the company policy we want to remove access for all the users to the atachment file location but we still want them to be able to open the files via Epicor.
Is there any way to pass server credentials when openning the file via the link in the dashboard?

Quick answer: For File System attachments - No. If you create your document types carefully you might be able to set the read/write permissions in Windows manually but you’d have to keep up with it.
You have a little more control with DocStar since Document Types also have security control above and beyond file security. I’m pretty sure you need client access to do so.
SharePoint would be difficult too as there is only one document library. You could use the Link Document Type and control completely on the SharePoint Library side.
