We have multiple companies and did the Asset module setup for our main company shortly after implementation a year and a half ago. I am trying to set it up now for our other companies and have completed it but am running into an error at the Asset Addition process.
I mirrored all of the setup from the main company but for some reason the system is not creating a credit entry to the asset clearing account during the addition. It is correctly creating a debit account out of a combination of the asset group natural account, department and division, but it it’s just ignoring the credit side.
I have checked the posting rule and the posting rule says it is looking at the “Asset - Company Parameters -GL Control for Current Book and Asset Clearing Context”. I have an asset clearing account in the Asset GL Control for this company that I have verified is active. I do not see anywhere in Company Configuration to set anything like this so I am not sure what I am missing.
Any advice?
