A couple snafus or surprises you might find going to 5.0.
-Each PO Buyer can only open and print their OWN PO's. You have to specifically list "authorized buyers" to give access to PO's for a particular buyer. Easy to fix, but best to do before the morning you go live.
-Several memo fields in 5.0 are expanded. Two examples are Part.PartDescription and also the salesperson field. This messes up any Crystal reports that group or have formula's based on these fields. You'll have to run a routine that Epicor can send to truncate these fields in progress so you can manipulate them in Crystal.
-I am personally still sticking with the Merant 3.5 drivers for ODBC instead of the Included SQL-92 ODBC drivers. Even with the ODBC fix, I am finding limitations to the SQL-92 ODBC when doing complicated joins in Crystal.
That's all I can think of at the moment. Dinner's on the table.

I just ran a test install and conversion last weekend. I noticed the FOB
field is now coded rather than plain text. One of the conversion routines
rounds up all the junk previously typed in and makes a code table entry for
it, much like the Country table in V4 (Arrggh!!) Minor annoyance compared
to the Country thing, but I will be writing a "cleanup" program for that
one too, if anyone would like it.
