Appservers repeatedly running away

Our Appservers ran away before as well.  For us it was a load issue.

 

I know have 6 Appserver for the users that I assign them too.

 

EPICOR905    62 users

EPICOR905Account  5 users

EPICOR905Purchase  9 Users

EPICOR905Engineer  13 users

EPICOR905Customer  12 users

EPICOR905Production  23 users

EPICOR905Print

EPICOR905Task

EPICOR905Process

 

 

62 users on EPICOR905 is quite a bit, but they are all MES Users (terminal Services)and very little transactions are going on there.

Yes, along with the customizations, you can disabled your BAQs, turning on verbose logging, and tail the logs.  Also, check your ODBC connected reports. 

 

We upgraded from 4 - 8 and now running 8.03.408B.  Our app servers have regularly maxed out.  We still run out of app servers at least 1-month, without knowing what caused them to do so.

We are really having a rough time, we just upgraded 8.03.410 and we had been having an issue with the appservers running away spawing new servers and using up the cpu while never completing processes. We are out of ideas at this point. We have looked at our bpms and BAQs, if anyone has any insight that would be great.

Its been awhile but we had BAMs with audit set and it really caused some issues with app servers so we turned off logging

Turned off all of our BAMs and BPMs, still having the same issue, did anyone else experience this when moving to 8.03.410?

FYI, we found this was related to a few customizations. As soon as we disabled all of our customizations the problem went away. We had a user load one of the older customizations and the appservers immediately started spiraling out of control again.  We have been rebuilding them and re-enabling them slowly without issue so far.

Yes, along with the customizations, you can disabled your BAQs, turning on verbose logging, and tail the logs.  Also, check your ODBC connected reports. 

We upgraded from 4 - 8 and now running 8.03.408B.  Our app servers have regularly maxed out.  We still run out of app servers at least 1-month, without knowing what caused them to do so.
