Anyone use fabtrol or something similar? Nesting length materials

We are going to be getting a new machine in the shop that cuts structural material. This will change how we think about length materials a bit and will need to nest parts to sticks (pretty much like a laser nesting parts in a sheet). We visited the company that makes the machine for some training with their production and they run their shop on a product called FabTrol. That system created orders by the stick, so it was really easy to just program the whole stick. I would like to find a program that could integrate with E-10 to be able to duplicate that kind of nesting. Does anyone else use a program that works well for you?

Sounds a lot cooler than what we are doing, then again it would probably be overkill for how much we put through our saw. Our designer will do the layout on this website for the “nesting”, with no automated love to/from Epicor.

I did some google searching and there are quite a few programs that will nest 1d parts for cheap. We settled on this one for now. No direct integration with Epicor, but this program will at least take CSV inputs, so I can create BAQ’s in E-10 to get me the info that I want and this and then drop that into excel with some macros to do some further sorting. (If we could get the security working for Rest, we could do it all in Excel, but we get stuck there) They have a nearly fully functional trial version that you can try out. Anyways, it looks like it might be a lot more functional than the site that you are currently using.

Hi @Banderson we are in the early stages of our implementation of 10.2.700 and scoped out an integration with the astrokettle nesting dll you mentioned. The integration was taken out of scope due to cost. I don’t suppose you have integrated it since your 2017 post by any chance?
