AMM In/Out Bins

We got AMM to primarily for the fulfillment workbench and move requests, however, we weren’t aware that it was going to require in/out bins across the board which is something we don’t want to use.

Is the only way to get around this just to put fake bins in for all the in/out bins?

Yes. That is the only way I know of.

You only need to have an input warehouse and bin setup for each resource Group and resource.
For the resources that you don’t want the move request, set the auto move check box to true.

The output warehouse/bin really is there only if you had a very large resource that you would want to designate a different location for the pick up.

So to get this implemented on a resource by resource basis: I would follow the steps below?

  1. Setup all resource groups and resources with a fake input bin and set auto move to “True”
  2. In the area’s I am implementing Kanban, I setup the resource with a legitimate Input bin and set auto move to “False”

If you are going to do Kanban receipt against some resources.
The resource that is tied to the material needs to have a backflush whse/bin to pull the material into the job.

OTherwise you are correct - after you have entered in one, do testing…
