Allocating Future Stock

Am I able to allocate parts that I truly don’t have in stock at that point in time?
For example, I want to allocate certain parts to a Sales Order, but I wouldn’t have those parts on hand until I created an associated Job, process the Job, Receive those to stock, etc.
Based on everything I see within the Fulfillment Workbench, it doesn’t allow this unless I have parts to truly allocate at that point in time.

I believe that’s what the “Cross Dock” function is for. I’ve personally never used it but heard about it at one point.

@Fernando @Sam_Bise That is what cross docking does. One thing we have to watch for is that it reacts to every receipt to inventory and makes a material queue record, so if you have a job of 100 and they are going thru inspection in groups of 10 to be placed in inventory it will make 10 entries.
