Aged Receivables Difference

Yes, I just got confirmation this morning. I'm on SQL .408B and this is
a "known issue" that Support will send you a process to run/install.

We've got a similar issue, only with the Aged Payables report not
matching the GL, also revolving around credit adjustments. Running
8.03.409A Progress.

My accounting department told me there's a time limited fix that we
install (which seems a little weird to me, to be honest).

I've put a call into support for a fix yesterday, so we'll see what I
get.

Occasionally I have to run the 9527 conversion, but it's for a
completely different issue.

Vantage 8.03.408B SQL

Has anyone experienced a difference in results between the Aged
Receivables Report and the Customer Tracker's Financial - Invoices -
Aging tab?

We have a customer where we issued a Credit Memo (Misc AR Invoice) of
$1,000. $600 of this CM was applied to an invoice as payment in full
(AR Invoice 12345 = $600). So, we still have a $400 credit out there
for this customer that is unapplied to an invoice. The CM Invoice
correctly shows an invoice balance of $400. The Shipment AR Invoice
#12345 correctly shows a zero balance.

So we run the Aged Receivables Report for this customer and instead of
showing an AR Aged amount of -$400 it shows the entire unapplied and
applied credit of $1,000. Yet, in the Customer Tracker it shows the
correct AR Aging Amount of -$400.

Why the variance? Am I missing something? Bug? Working as planned?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Vic,

I don't know if our Accounting group runs the Aged Receivables, but they have seen similar issues in Credit Manager. A customer will be put on hold in error, because Vantage doesn't calculate the balances correctly.

We're on 407c, and it's a known bug:
The routine is:
1. Admin Tools
2. Run Conversion Program
3. #9527 – Set Credit Limit Totals

This recalculates and rebuilds the totals in Credit Manager. We were told that we can run this while users are on the system - but you might want to get confirmation from Epicor.

Good luck!
Laraine
