Advice for New System Administrator on Version 8.0?

We are in the middle of implementing Vantage 8.0, with a scheduled go
live date of 11/1. However, I know nothing about the system. I have
not had any training, and I have no system administration
documentation/instructions. It took over a month to install Vantage,
and I am not sure that everything we purchased is truly there, and I
don't know how to check. I am looking for guidance...

* How do I tell if Crystal Reports is installed and operational?
* How do I tell if I am backing up all of the data needed to restore
Vantage if needed?
* What types of things, if any, should be done on a regular basis to
maintain the system?
* Does anyone have any documentation/Best Practices for system
administration? On Citrix?
* Any good links/info for Progress? Progress is new to me as well.

Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated!
