Adp

We use ADP and purchased the ADP export utility from custom programming but then never implemented it. Our convuluted rules for handling overtime meant so much post import massaging it was easier to write a report with the clock-in/out details and totals and then manually enter. We have about 100 shop people paid weekly. If your OT rules are pretty "normal" I think the export to ADP would work OK. I never saw anything in it other than paying by the hour.

We are in the process of implementing Vantage 5.20. Is anyone currently
using ADP for payroll?

Do you export data from Vantage and import data into ADP? If anyone is
successfully exporting then importing data, I have some questions about how
you are doing this. If you also work with piece rate that would be very
helpful.

We are looking to hear from anyone who is using the ADP interface or
has tried using it. We are a few months from going live and we have
installed the interface. We are unhappy to find out that their
system doesn't round to the 1/4 hour like we wanted. Of course
custom programming has offered to give us a quote! Is their anyone
else who has encountered this problem? What have you done about it?
My boss would like to know if there is anyone out their that is
interested in sharing the expense of custom programming. I may be
able to write my own program to convert the file out of Vantage to a
file that contains hours rounded to the 1/4 hour. Let me know what
kind of experiences you've had.

Thanks,

Brian
We have been acquired and have been forced to use ADP for payroll. How do
you get a file to import into ADP and how do you get the G/L entries to
match your labor entries back into your G/L without running payroll?
I did it manually for February and it took me two days!!

I developed software In-House that creates a file to import into
the ADP software that we use however I do not know if it is the same
version as that which you may have. Please feel free to contact me
if you would like to discuss further.

We have been live with Vantage almost 2 years and we've been using
Custom Programming's ADP Interface along with Data Collections almost
that long. It allows you to pull labor from Vantage into the ADP
interface where you can add entries for Vacation, Sick Time, Etc...
Then you export it to a file that can be imported by ADP. At the end
of each month Payroll runs some reports out of ADP which the
Controller uses to make Journal Entries for the Vacation, Sick Time,
etc. All the regular time and overtime is already in the G/L. They
estimate it takes 2-4 hours each month to accumulate the data and
make the journal entries. Payroll is much happier doing it this way
that they were doing approx. 230 time cards. Let me know if you need
more info.
