Ed,
We also have the ADP interface with the Data Collection from
Vantage. I would agree with Todd that there is a lot of data
massaging once the time is exported to ADP. It seems to me that our
HR spends a lot of time with OT and manual calculations. The data is
exported to an excel spreadsheet then manipulated to reflect the
correct hours. Then it is imported into ADP. The most time is spent
in Excel and reconciling the data. The bottom line is that there
should be an easier way (I just dont know what that is for us yet)
If you need more info, I am sure that our HR person would be happy to
talk with you about it. Let me know off-line.

fee" - if I recall something over $3K. I think it would be OK in a
very plain payroll environment but we found that handling of overtime
rules was very limited (and/or ours are overly complicated). It
ended up being more work to massage the hours and OT time manually
after exporting to ADP than it was to just key the hours in from a
report I wrote that gives the payroll person what they need to figure
out the correct OT hours (like which day of the week how many hours
were worked after X hours prior to that in the week taking into
account holidays, vacation or absence , etc.... very complicated).
The module itself was fairly straightforward to use...just couldn't
handle our requirements. If you take a look at it I would suggest
defining all your requirements for it and make no assumptions.

rather than internet connection for transmitting the data.
