I added the shipTo customer table to the RDD for quote form. I created a relationship for the new table (parent table QuoteHed, child ShipTo, key QuoteNum).

When I browse the data in the RDD (in Crystal Dev). I see the data in the field, however, When I place the field on the form, (either directly or in a formula)the field is blank.

Any Idea's as to what could cause the problem? some link missing?

maybe the wrong "Key" between the parent & child table?

any Idea's ??

Thanks
What do you want to bring the ShipTo table in for?

Review the relationships from the RDD to be; why are you pulling QuoteNum
key? What fields does it give you between QuoteHead and ShipTo
The relationships should be possibly: (if what you want to bring in from the
Ship To has something to do with the Customer.
QuoteHed.Company>ShipTo.Company
QuoteHed.CustNum>ShipTo.CustNum? (not sure what this is)

Then the relationship in Crystal, has to be confirmed; sometimes it gets
broken; also depending on what you are doing; you may have to put that
added table in a subreport and relate it to your main report that way.

Thanks for the reply.

What I am trying to do is show ship to information on the quote form. The current quote form only indicates the billTo or SoldTo information, it does not show the requested ship to address.

We sell to customers that ship to various branches or locations.

I am able to pull in one time ship to information, which works fine when they ship to a OTS address.

I do have the relationships listed:
quotehed.Company > ShipTo.Company
QuoteHed.CustNum > ShipTo.CustNum
QuoteHed.ShipToNum > ShipTo.ShipToNum

as for the Key, I just changed it to BTCustNum, still the same, I can browse & "see"the data, but when I place the filed on the report it does not populate.

I haven't tried a sub report yet, will try that next.

Ok, so now in your Crystal Report, when you look at the links in the
Database expert, did they come over that way; if not confirm them; now when
you add your ShipTo table fields when you add the fields you need; Do you
get that info or as you say it blanks out?
