TLDR: I need instructions on how to add a task to a Task Agent schedule.
Using Seniors Living Module.
We have a task that is run by a System Task Agent schedule that syncs data with a Government system.
The task was setup by a user who has now left the company.
If we disable the user the task fails, so I need to replicate the task but under the service account.
I’m still learning my way around Epicor and my search foo has failed me.
So could someone please point me at the instructions on how to add a task to a System Task Agent schedule.
There are two options, but the easiest is to find the menu id that runs the SLS Synch to PRODA.
To Add a new schedule:
Once you can find that you would need to schedule the process as recurring against the OC Submit Events 12PM schedule. Put meaningful information in the description.
To Delete the old schedule:
Open System Monitor
Select the Scheduled Tasks Tab
From the Actions Menu click “Display All Tasks”
Select the task that was being executed by the old user
Click the delete button in the toolbar to delete the task.
OR
From the System Agent Schedule itself, delete the old task
You should be logged in as the system manager account (one that is not tied to a specific user) to prevent this issue from happening again in future.
Hope that helps.
EDIT:
A bit of tooing and throwing behind the scenes, and in actual fact if you can see the task in system tasks double clicking on the task that has the wrong user against it, should load up the form that the task was generated from, then you can reschedule under the correct user account and delete the old one…
Hi Hally. Thank you for your note. I’m trying to find the way to add new Task on System Agent. I can’t find the way you are showing in your notes. Can you please snapshot how can I do to add a new task on System Agent?
Thank you very much.
I have found schedules in Epicor to be absolutely unintuitive so far… I’ve added a new scheduled task twice and both times I went around in circles so many times that I’m not sure I have the right steps.
Create a new Process Set, go to run your task manually, but select your Process Set instead of Now,
then go to run the Process Set and select your task agent schedule instead of Now
Someone please correct me if that’s off - but that’s the way I’ve gotten it to work
