We often have changes to jobs (custom huge OEM equipment that ends up with redesigns as it is being built). As new parts are added, the job needs to be rescheduled so due dates get attached to the requirements for those parts (correct me if I’m wrong). It looks like “reschedule on release” only works the first time the job is released. How do you handle keeping track of changes like this and which jobs need to be rescheduled? Thank you.
I use a Process Set and run Global Scheduling once a week on Sundays. Most of our engineers are used to rescheduling after materials are added in the middle of a project, but there is always human error.
This works for us. Haven’t had a problem since I started running this process. Hope it helps.
