Add data source to BAQ report

Is there a way to add another datasource to a BAQ Report?

If for example I would like to create a custom SOPick list using a BAQ Report, would like to add a separate datasource that would have the Warehouses and OnHandQty.

It looks like there is a mechanism to do it - I can see the “New BAQ” option in the RDD.

Anyone know how to do this?

I’m wondering if you need the Compliance module which allows SSRS reports with multiple BAQs. Hmmm.

Why not add it to the same BAQ? SSRS can group the data so you don’t get duplicated results.

Mr. Jason: Yes - I can do that - it makes it MUCH harder to do summaries (because of the extra records).

There are a number of other scenarios also where subreports would be nice, i.e. create your own Job Traveler - or AR Invoice - If you get either of those done with a single dataset - then you are a magician.

I keep hearing promises that Reports will become BAQs “soon”.

Yes please.

They already are, you can make an RDD and compose it of as many BAQ’s as you want. No need for compliance lic.

It depends on the version. Multiple BAQs in the RDDs were only started in 10.1.600 I think

Mr. Jose: I saw (and created) a new RDD that includes multiple BAQs - however how can I use that in my BAQ Report.

I tired changing the DataDefinition in the report style to use my “created RDD” but it did not seem to work.

Any suggestions appreciated.

@DaveOlender did you ever get this figured out? I join another baq as a datasource but I don’t see any of the data from that baq.

You have to sync Dataset after changing the RDD on the Report Style.
