Hello, I’ve been doing some research on this topic, but can’t make sense of it.
All I’m trying to accomplish is adding a basic search to a dashboard. I’ve got my dashboard created, and want our sales team to be able to type in a key word to find an item within the list. For example, if we have a part that has a description of 2 1/2" pipe elbow, they would be able to type in elbow* and it would be one of the options that pops up, just like you’d be able to do in any other Epicor screen.
What is the best way to accomplish this? What do I have to add to my dashboard to be able to do this? Images pasted below for reference.
You could add a Tracker to the dashboard? Just go to dashboard, open yours, right click and add new tracker view. You can set a few options and tweak the conditions i.e. contains, equals etc. It’s pretty intuitive to set up.
You can choose the criteria depending on the data you made available through your original BAQ.
I do have a tracker view. In the first image in my post, only a portion of it is shown at the top. That works for something basic, but I guess I’d just like it to be a little more comprehensive.
In my tracker I have the condition set to matches. I then have an instruction on my tracker for description search to place between **.
If set up this way, and they enter
it will list all the ones with elbow in the description.
