I’ve been starting to test out the active home page, and I noticed that none of the default system layouts show any data
is there a process that needs to be scheduled or enabled?
I believe its something in the application configuration. Possibly missing epicor data discovery, i cannot remember.

Right, Epicor Data Discovery is required to get Active home page to work. It gets configured and deployed in Epicor Admin Console (see upgrade guides). It also may require a new license file to make it work, which Epicor will provide for free (check with your CAM).
