Any reason for an opening and closing balance?

 

The closest thing that I know of what is the Journal Listing report. You can select by journal type and date range… Manual J/E’s are an option. “General Journal”

I may have some info for you.  I need to check on my notes.  We went from Vantage 6 to Epicor 9.05.702A last year.  I remember having similar issues and it took some time to figure out.

We need some help getting to what we have always had regarding General Ledger – We need to run by Segment by Account identifying all Journal Entry detail. This is very important to us to have the ability to use this for investigation. I have been attempting to get either of these the way I want for last few months without success.
There are 2 reports available but neither fulfill all requirements to be efficient for us to use which are:
1) Department GL segment Report – it does not include the Opening Balance or Ending Balance for each account
2) General Ledger Report -  it runs by account # THEN by Segment (see attached). We need it run in reverse order.

 

 

Any advice on how others are doing what he is asking in 9 would be greatly appreciated.
