Access to Customer Setup and Tracker Denied for 1 Customer

We had the same problem with an odd solution, but it worked. The person attempting to access the customer record was not an authorized salesperson on the Sales Territory for the Customer. As soon as they were added to the Territory the error message went away. Support is aware of the problem and has a tech note on the solution.

Thanks,
Ed

We had something similar where we couldn't update customer information.
We would get that same error. Essentially, they told us to run
Conversion 7427. Support gave me this below to try....

We are running Vantage 8.03.403c and have come across a new one for
us. We have 1 customer so far that we know of that we can not bring
up in Customer Setup or Customer Tracker. When you put in the
Customer ID you receive an error message stating "You do not have
permissions to this record". I have tried this from mulitple user
accounts including the manager account and get the same results. Has
anyone else seen this before?

After looking through the past message posts I saw one user stating
the same problem and they were on 8.00.809d but there wasn't any
responses to his post. The full error is posted below. Any help on
this would be much appreciated. Thanks

I just had that case 5 minutes ago.

You have to go to Workforce->

Then select "Work Force ID", go to "Authorized Users" tab, see a detail
tab.

Now you will need to go to File->New Authorized User and select your
user from a dropdown.

Save it.

Work Force ID could be just one user or a group of users having certain
access rights.
