905.700A epicombo not active for user code

Awesome! Glad to hear its working for you.
I had forgotten to mention that. If you're on SQL you do need to restart
the app servers after you setup new user codes.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I have a user code that is in an epicombo on job header into JobHead.ShortChar07 and the field is intermittently not activate. Shows the data properly, but can't be changed.

I have another epicombo in po detail and it is fine. I watched the usdoingstuff video on Creating using User Codes and I noticed that when I add a combo it doesn't auto populate with the DisplayName, EpiBOName, etc. Should it?

I have tried extended properties in the form to make it active on load still it is sometime not. It always seems to work fine if I open the form in developer mode.

This was happening in 905.605, but I had hoped that 700 would make it work consistently.

thanks for any suggestions.

Greg

Glad to hear someone is watching those videos =)

Did you setup the User Code and the Extended Properties before you created
EpiCombo? If not, remove the combo and then create a new one.
If the User Code is setup properly, you should just need to bind the
EpiCombo to ShortChar07 and the rest should work like magic.

I removed the field, rechecked the user codes. The full description was empty, so I made it match the description. Verified the User code. Stopped and started the app server. ( not sure if this is necessary, but I wanted to change the logging mode anyway ) Added the field back and all of the values came in. :) Crowd cheers

Thanks

Greg
