My understanding of how this works is for each part, once you add ANY approved supplier that part will then always require an approved supplier.  We had the same problem at the beginning of our implementation.  Once we deleted every Approved supplier record off of the parts, we haven’t had the problem since.

Occasionally we get the message when adding a line item on a PO that says “The Part is not approve for this Supplier.”

The quickest fix is to go under “Part Maintenance / Actions / Approved Suppliers” and enter the vendor as an approved supplier. (see screen shots below)

I do not get this all the time,

What triggers the message? Vendor <> default vender in part file? No Price List?
