9.05.607A MRP Logs: What does this mean?

It was bad HD that crashed and not allowing to pass the data.  Once we rebuilt and installed the new HD, MRP is running fine.

Excellent point Nancy. On v8, we haven't encountered deadlocking very often (the scheduler is given unresolvable conditions to schedule typically multiple job OPs within the capacity model & job start/due date constraints - and simply can't find a scheduling block sufficiently large to schedule successfully) - but maybe once every two months it happens (and always when we are severally overloaded/backlogged - sometimes for self inflcited reasons that can be resolved.)

If it is a smallnumber of jobs, I audit what it's competing with & whether our production control department inserted needless 'padding' in any steps of our multi job process that squeezed the time constraints needlessly.

If none found (and it is simply a large influx of work we've committed to), I'll temporarily increase capacity in the deadlocked resource and notify operations that they need to shift resources to handle it.

Also be careful you haven't set things up so you are single schedule block scheduling where it may not be needed (say in a flow process or one where there is no real set up & the job ops giving you trouble could be broken across multiple schedling blocks).

We used to have this alot in 904 but have been good so far in 905607B.  I believe it is deadlocking on the jobs noted above.  When ours happened it was due to subassembly parts with method in plant 2  but required on top level job in plant 1.  Do you have only one plant?  Have you looked at the noted jobs?  Could you have an impossible reference with your capabilities / resource group / resource setup fields?  We were told to only have one of those fields complete to ensure scheduling can run.
