8.03.408 problem - configurator parts

Just the larger upgrades. The patches usually aren't a problem. We're
using the configurator for the same reason.

Thanks,

Hi Blake: When you say that "Every time we perform an upgrade our
configurators break." Does your reference to upgrades mean patches like
407b to 407c or large jumps like 405 to 408? What about installing
service packs? Just trying to get a feel for how often you experience
this problem since we are looking at using the configurator to fine tune
our quoting process. I just want to be prepare for how much fixing I am
in for each time we upgrade.

Vantage 8.03.408 Progress

I upgraded our developement server from 8.03.407a to 408. When I did, all configured parts broke. When I go into the configurator and try to save the program or test rules, I get a "Compilation error in the Rules. File 'c:\epicor\mfgsys803\Server\pcrules\CLchairA11.p' at line 1197 column 99. Error 565."

I open a case with Epicor on this, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Epicor said this is the first reported configurator problem with 408.
We've had a similar problem with our configurators whenever we upgrade.
Every time we perform an upgrade our configurators break. We usually
end up deleting everything within the PC Rules folder. After that the
configurators still work poorly but over the course of the day they
progressively get better. Support could never give us a good answer why.

I wish it was that simple, but its not. I eventually got a couple of them compiled, but I have a bunch of other ones that are still broken and I can't figure out why. I am uploading our database to Epicor so they can look at it.
