6.10.535 Patch Issue - A/P Check Printing

For what it's worth...this has been an issue since at least 95-96.

The workaround has always been to ensure that you only pay 26 invoices on a single check. Not very elegant but it works.

We have the same issue with Vantage version 8.00.807
We wanted it to have 3-part checks and experienced the hard way after
modifying a Crystal report.
There is no way to notify Vantage that there might be more invoices that
can fit on one page. On the consecutive pages
Vantage simply assigns the same number as if it was still the same
check. Consequently, preprinted checks do not agree with Vantage.

We have found that they offer customization for it :)

We have encountered an issue that seems to be related to patch 535 (from
533) that we installed last weekend. I know there was a fix for a
description field on A/P checks (expanded to print the whole 50
characters) in the Crystal Report. But now we are suddenly having an
issue with checks that have 27 or more invoices. In the past it would
automatically split more than 27 onto a new check. Now the 27th invoice
detail is getting printed on the next serial numbered check and that
check then does not match number wise.

The check printing is one Crystal "form" I have not modified and we use
Epicor's checks. One other clue, the break in the detail where our
company name is pre-printed on the check is working OK.

My guess is that the section boundry for the detail part got "bumped" a
little when the description was fixed and it is now not large enough to
handle 27 lines. Can anyone else on 535 confirm this and if so were you
able to "fix" it by tweaking a section size?

More info.....

While correcting the prior issue (voiding the checks/batch and re-creating) our A/P person discovered that it now only allows 26 invoices in a batch at the entry point. Apparently what she printed today was a batch that had been started last week prior to the 535 patch and one of the checks had 27 invoices. Now when she re-did the batch it only allowed 26.

So it looks like "not a bug" as much as a "gotcha" if you have a batch open (with 27 invoices on a check) prior to applying the patch.
