I've created a test database in Vantage 6.1 for us to do a trial of AMM with. Restored the backup to it just fine and the DB starts and all that. Everything looks OK until I try to run the Test.mfg I created (per answerbook 3744MPS). Really odd but the splash screen is not our normal one (it's black & white and says "Manufacturing by Epicor") and I never get a login screen. In fact it never even creates the regocx.log in the local mfgwk61 folder. Performance monitor shows something is taking 50% of both CPU cores fo the duration of the splash screen...then zero.
Here is the Test.mfg file incase anyone can see something I've missed.
----------------------------------
[mfgsys Startup]
Executable=M:\prgs91d\bin\prowin32.exe
Database= M:\mfgtest\db\mfgsys
IniFile=M:\mfgsys61\mfgsys.ini
ParameterFile=M:\mfgtest\db\mfgsys.pf
ConnectOptions=-N TCP -H vantage -S 6120 -ld MFGSYS
TempDirectory=C:\mfgwk61
StartupProcedure=mainmenu.w
OtherParameters=-rand 2 -q -basekey ini
mfgsys=VN
mfglanguage=enu
mfgtranslator=yes
unicode=true
-----------------------------------
I originally had it reference the regular mfgsys.pf file the live database uses (per 3744MPS) but copied it ot the test DB location and that didn't help. The DB is running, set for port 6120, and I never get a login screen. I set a test DB up on our old server with no problems so this one has me stumped.
Thanks,
