6.1 MRP Scheduling Issue

Stuart

In Vantage 8.00 and onwards a function was added called 'remove from
Schedule' which does what I think you are asking

The work around in Vantage 6.1, is to schedule the job for Christmas Day
2020 (or another unreasonable date)

Then make sure a cut off date prior to the unreasonable date is set when
you run MRP or Suggestions.

This will then exclude the jobs requirements. Sometimes a checkbox
labelled 'On Hold' is also used to identify the job for searching
purposes

Subject: [Vantage] 6.1 MRP Scheduling Issue

Hi All,
We have the following issue. We firm an MRP job and thus schedule the
job as a basic practice from MRP, and then I as production manager
review jobs to ensure nothing is wrong.
One job with multiple sub jobs I decide I am not happy with, and need to
investigate matters further. But nothing I do will release all the parts
from PO suggestions, so invariably Purchasing have or will be ordering
the material already by the time I find out.
Does anyone have any solutions to this problem, I almost need the option
of unticking the firm box on the job?

Any input or feedback would be thankfully received!

Stuart
