Under System Management; Utilities: you have "Business Activity Manager".
You have to pick the activities you want to log.

I converted to 6.1 from 5.2 on 11/25/06 and since that date there have been
no entries into the "change logs" for jobs or sales orders. On the job
side, the "Prevent changes" and "create audit log" buttons are checked. and
audit log is created for jobs, but no change log and I don't see where to
have change logs created.

What am I missing - any ideas? Do change logs exist any more in 6.1?

I may be way off base but doesn't the same process server thing that manages email alerts on record changes also handle the logging in 6.1? I keep forgetting to re-start this every time I reboot the Vantage server. Try running ProcessServer.mfg (in mfgsys61) on the server to start it up and then see if the logging starts happening.
