Who has regclean? Epicor? Our own File Archives?

How does it work?

TIA

RG

Run regclean on the clients

Our Vantage server crashed and I had to move it to another server.
Everything is normal except logins take a really long time and so does
using Part Tracker. I've seen posts in the past that talk about things
that need cleaned up on the client when moving servers but I haven't
found them. Support has given me some things to check but they haven't
worked. I've checked host files for entries of the old server, made
sure AV is excluding the proper things, and ran some program that
installed OCX files locally. Anybody have any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark Caldwell

I know this sounds simple, but did you check to see if the new server
name is registering in DNS?

Of course if DNS is the problem, there is a likelihood that any task
would be slow.

If regclean does not work. Search the registry for any reference to
your old server name and carefully remove them

I'm not familiar with regclean either, so I just started to search the
registry for our old server name and found lots of entries. Any entry
that dealt with Vantage I replace the old server name with the new
server name and everything is working normal now.

Thanks,

Mark
