We found that on 3.0 when someone gets the splash screen Vantage
reserves a license. If the person clicks on Vantage a second time and
logs on the second time, they get on, but they are still reserving a
second license. I assume it is still working that way in 5.0 and the
fact that the splash screen is going off before the login comes on is
causing people to try to log on again. Just after they get the second
splash screen the first login screen shows up. We just booted everybody
off promon that were showing two entries, even thought only one was
logged on.

Subject: [Vantage] 5.0 promon??
We just converted over to 5.0 this weekend. We have 25 regular
licenses,
and 5 data collection. I looked in through eMfg, connected
users and there
are only 17 users, currently. However, we have people not able
to log in.
We do not get a message about the license not
available......only that the
second splash screen never displays and the do not get the login
prompt. We
have users working in it currently. (the 17 mentioned above)
Does anyone
have any insight into our problem?
How do you disconnect users in 5.0?
Thanks,
