2024.2

Anyone started testing yet? Both our configurators fail to do…well anything but no warning or error messages displayed, tried with different browsers too.

And the whole thing just seems…buggy, loading screens will just seem to ‘hang’ and not go anywhere.

tickets in with Epiccare so awaiting responses.

What issues have others found? Figured this would be a good collaboration to assist others to keep a look out for???

It seems in this version they have made more UI changes, tab strips are now panel-card-stacks which of course breaks any custom tabs you had created and now need to be rebuilt since the upgrade doesn’t convert the custom ones.

Card stacks seem to be a step backwards as well because you cannot hide the the cards (tab visibility) conditionally as there is no EpBinding for the selected cards :frowning:

Hiding a card just presents you with a blank tab when selected… this all worked great before 2024.2 now it is not as clean looking using card stacks because the tabs can’t be hidden

We found the upgrade broke our customization on order entry - now when you click print the whole screen gets disabled, unrecoverable. Functions and bpms survived ok. I want the layer customizations to upgrade seamlessly as promised, its getting tiring having to redo the same ones over again with each new release.

Further issues we have found so far:

Application Studio - Cant click OK on C# editor

Part Transaction History Tracker - Cant filter

One of our configurators now loads but does not return ANY data from the part table as requested

The other configurator suggests UD Methods are broken given the list of errors it produces.

You should be able to filter. Did you turn off progressive load?
The problem I have with part transaction history tracker is that it often doesn’t load at all. Of course I can’t reproduce it so support won’t submit the issue but it makes the screen effectively useless when on any given day it decides it won’t give me any data.

We’ve had users successfully upgrade the Pilot client and it loads fine…others went through the upgrade installer, log in, and are presented with a blank screen. Clearing all cache and re-installing the client did not resolve the issue. Case opened with Epicor.

unsure on this one… no idea what progressive load is :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

ours is a complete car crash, we can’t even update our client - its just broke!

oh and Epiccare - nothing EPIC about it

Hate to ask a silly question but what’s the current subrelease number (2024.2.##)? Just wondering how far along that release is. Here’s our problem - we’re considering an upgrade from 2023.2.11 (3p-hosted onprem). We’re running EDIHQ, Smart/IP&O, EDA, EKMW, Quickship, Bartender etc…and I just want to make sure we’re really ready to tackle it. I recall seeing somewhere that the .NET version had to change…which makes me a little worried about the interplay with the other apps.

this is the issue

It defaults to “Contains.”
Try “equals.”

*Edit–Actually, yeah–I just tested my 2024.2 version and it works just fine with both.

Both Contains and Equals works for me… that’s odd.

Has this update broken anyone else’s configurators? None of ours will fully load anymore without getting an error. Before this upgrade they used API v1 to run User-Defined Configurator methods. Now it looks like they changed it to use API v2, but didn’t update their calls to include an API key. So now, every call to a UD method bricks the configurator. I’m not seeing anyone mention this, so I’m wondering if this is a problem unique to us.

Need more words lol. What is the problem?

Filtering STK-MTL

But returning STK-STK mixed in the results.
