10.2.200.3 "Active Home Page with EDD licensed, does not load (empty white screen)"

Yesterday we received a company license that included the base version of EDD (Epicor Data Discovery). With deploying the extension. I proceeded to log in with active home page enabled and I am presented with a blank white screen. It never loads or has an hour glass. I have tried restarting the app pools and task agent service, as well as the server itself. But have had no luck. Anyone else seen this odd issue?

you have to pick a layout. And all the license does is make it so you can make your own views with your own BAQ’s. You should be able to get a view with stuff in it without the license.

and when you say blank, how blank? Like there is nothing to pick anywhere? Or just the main canvas. Here’s what mine looks like now.

In 10.2.100.6 I had EDD installed without the license and had the base tiles shown but not working. With being on 10.2.200.3 and installing EDD again with a license. When I log in and check active home page it brings up a screen that is just completely white, there are no options or anything.

Does it work without the license? I think you should be able to unlink it right?

Full disclosure, we’ve passed my level of knowledge on the subject and I’m just brainstorming now…

Ill try and unlink it and redeploy the application server. What version are you on?

10.2.200.4. We are just testing right now. We did have some problems with active homepage in general when we first spun it up, but it wasn’t related to the license because we first installed without it.

My IT guy @rapat_mark was the one who fixed it. I’ll see if he can tell me what he had to do.

I did look at the release notes between .3 and .5 versions and there was a few updates to EDD but nothing regarding mine. I may just upgrade to .5 today since we are still in a test phase.

I didn’t fix it rather I finished the installation. Once I configured Epicor Data Discovery per the instructions, it worked.

So after upgrading to 10.2.200.5 (latest patch out) and implementing the same steps for EDD it works now…

so I have redeployed EDD in the EAC but when I log in there are no layouts to apply in my listing? its blank… has anyone seen this before?

The system layouts are only visible to security managers. The idea is to deploy custom versions of them with security that you configure - this way they won’t get overwritten by Epicor in the future.
