is there a way to do cycle counting by bin without having to set up ABC codes?
You can add the parts into the cycle count part selection screen by using the pasting in the screen.
I use an excel file with a list of parts. Add a blank column to the left of the part number, only copy and paste the blank filed and the part number. The blank field is a place holder for the Selected column in the screen.
so create an excel spread sheet with all parts (we have like 2500) and then copy and paste into this screen?
Exactly. This assumes you have created your cycle count schedule etc.

when setting up the cycle count schedules it will not ask me for abc codes?
When creating the Cycle Schedule, do not use Perform Part Selection under actions.
The selection mentioned above will do it, but observe that all bins for the part will be printed on the tags, not only the bins used for the selection.
