Are you sure that you have your control accounts set up correctly?
we used to have that same problem when I started and then learned
that the account were incorrect. You should be able to compare the
WIP difference for the month to the inventory work in process report
and if there are discrepancies figure out where they are coming
from. Ours used to be way way off but now I balance to the penny
every month. We are on 5.1 but haven't had a problem with WIP since 3
