We've run into the same problem. In our case, the majority of our customers
will not receive partial shipments, so shipments are staged until all parts
are puilled. It may be a week or so before the entire shipment is ready.
A\R deletes invoices until notified by shipping that the entire shipment is
complete and shipped. It creates some extra work but it is the only way
that we found to keep inventory quantities somewhat accurate and we're not
biling for parts that haven't shipped.

Subject: [Vantage] v 5.1 "shipped" ck box in Packing Slip Header
In version 5.1 the check box in the Customer Packing Slip Header has changed
from "Ready to Invoice" to "Shipped". The problem we are running into is
that if you don't check the box, it doesn't close the Sales Order Line and
Release. If you do check the box so the line is closed it makes all
shipments immediately available for invoicing when using Get Shipments which
we don't want. Epicor Support says it's working as designed.
Is anyone else having a problem with this or figured out a work around?
