Also if you have any Report Styles and probably other things that you have not used (linked to anything) they might not migrate over. I had Report Styles which I didnt use in a RDD they had a blank RDD, but I used them in a Customization - they didnt migrate over, I just recreated them (no big deal). But just a heads-up.
Good Afternoon,
Ok, weâve finally decided what to do about our missing UD fields since upgrade.
We have used the Extended UD Table Maintenance and added the fields. One win: It has been discovered that if we manually add fields that are of the old UD naming convention, eg. Character03, Number01, etc., then the system does not add the _c to the name ID. This is good because it means we donât have to redo all of the bindings on our forms which we thought might need to do.
One last thing⌠is there anyway to export and import these UD fields back in? When we go live, weâll upgrade the 905702 db and then import our E10 fixed customizations, bpms, etc. However, I do not see any way to get these manually created UD fields via extended UD table maintenance imported. Can anyone think of an efficient way to get these back in for go-live or will we have to manually create again record by record?
Thank you!
Nancy
Nancy,
You can copy the list of UD Columns form your Test/Pilot database into Excel. Then use Paste/Insert to quickly create them on your go live server. Thatâs what we did when we upgraded. Just remove the lines from UD_SysRevID and ForeignSysRowID as they are system generated.
Like any other paste/insert List view, select your columns and make sure they match before pasting.
Haso â
Now you can kick the RDD to the curb in 10.1.600 and bring it in the neighborâs house !!!
Thank you in advance,
Calvin Dekker
