Epicor will backward schedule until it hits today, then it will forward schedule from today IF you have "do not allow dates in the past" checked (which is logical). Try raising the priority and it will schedule ahead of other jobs in the time frame you want.

Good Afternoon,
We are trying to start using the scheduling engine in 9.05.607B. I am finding that where we have a subassembly and I run for backwards scheduling, the subassembly gets forward scheduled from today and then the rest of the operations backwards scheduled. The only way this doesn't happen is if I manually reschedule and override material constraints. this isn't a stock part, so I wouldn't even think that material constraint would come into account.
Has anyone worked with scheduling and assemblies and come up with a method that works? Has anyone discovered any bug in this area?
